Epic Sunburn and update.

I am so incredibly sunburnt right now and it really hurts. I've already applied copious amounts of aloe vera gel and lotion and bathed in cold water but it seems these old school methods just won't cut it this time around. I'm in so much pain, i've decided to test out home remedies out to see how effective they are.

Tonight i'm trying a combination of applying cool black tea and then following up with coconut oil.
Wish me luck guys! I really hope it makes a difference. I'm not cut out to be a tomato.

In other news, I had the most amazing weekend at Earthcore, even though our tent broke and we didn't have the most comfortable bedding arrangement. I'll put up photos from the festival in my next post.

Until then,
Have a good one guys!

I'm no budgeting queen but...

This month has been a bit strange for me. Although I am budgeting, I’m finding that my money disappears quite quickly and it is so very tempting to lower the daily fund allocation with little splurges here and there.
This month I knew I was in need of a complete beauty product revamp as I had finished most of my collection of products. But even then I think I may have gone overboard with my restock. Woops. Apart from that, I allowed my self one fashion splurge this month and I feel that maybe I’ve gone a little too far too soon.
Christmas is fast approaching and I wonder if it would wise to start some of my Christmas shopping now before my next pay-check. I would need to allocate days in which I could stay home to eradicate the spending of money, thus converting my daily allocation into gifts.

Monthly pay and budgeting is such a killer!
I’ve been considering getting a second summer job just to get some funds saved quick fast, but I’m unsure if I want to give up so much of my new found freedom when I have not given myself time to rest in quite a while. Alternatively, I also wanted to use a lot of my spare time to develop my business ideas, if I were to get a second job, i wonder how much time I would have left over to do this?

Hmmm. Decisions, decisions. I’ve got a lot to think about.

But for now, I should probably keep studying.

Good Morning!

It's 1am in the morning and i've been dying to make a new blog to share my experiences.
One could say that this is just another fruit of my epic procrastination. But, I'm doing it anyway.

Aloha! My name is Jess. I'm currently 22 years old, studying nutritional medicine and working part time to pay for life's unholy expenses. My first degree was fashion but I unfortunately ran out of money for that endeavour. I haven't given up on the dream though and plan on pursuing my own line on the side.

Aside from my current ambitions, I also love to take photos as a hobby. I've assisted and modelled on a few shoots over time, but I do prefer being behind the camera.
I hope that one day i'll be able to combine all my creative pursuits.

Science was my second love, but not an abandoned one. I decided to study nutrition in 2012 after learning a lot about food and intolerances which piqued my interest in general health and wellbeing.
Despite complaining about the general attitudes of people (retail can melt your mind and blacken your heart sometimes), I do love to help people where I can and try to remain optimistic and spread the love where ever possible.

This however is my sanctuary, where I can post about my experiences, look back on them and share them with others.

I hope you, dear reader, enjoy and don't think i'm too much of a nut :)
